A sixteen year old girl who suffers thyroid cancer. Whenever she goes around, she have this portable oxygen that helps her breathe. When she was 13 year old, they knew that she was going to die. But this medicine called Phalanxifor brought a miracle to her life. She attends a Cancer Support Group and met Augustus Waters and Isaac (bestfriend of Augustus). Augustus have an osteosarcoma. They declared he have No Evidence of Cancer but his leg got cut off. But he's using an artificial leg to help him. They became close-friends. And the story goes on. 

They have this forever word called:

After they returned home from Amsterdam, he confessed that his cancer is back. 

He asked Hazel to write an Eulogy for him. Because he wanted to make a pre-funeral so he could see what will happen if he dies. After eight days, Augustus died.
